I'll be honest, the only Pratchett novel I've read is Good Omens, and he only co-wrote that with my favorite writer, but I liked what I read. Goodkind is very good, but it just doesn't seem to hold me so that I have to read everything he's ever done. I'll buy more of his works one day, but Wizard's First Rule and Soul of the Fire are all I've read, thus far.

I am a huge fan of Pratchett and have honestly never read or even heard of Goodkind. I like Pratchett due to the humour he injects so skilfully into his work, his parodies of other fantasy work and his take up on modern events/situations through fiction. What is Goodkind's style like? From a few seconds of research I know his genre is fantasy but otherwise I'm clueless.

Goodkind. I love his writing...Pratchett's writing can be entertaining, but Goodkind's plot development wins every time.

Who needs Goodkind? Who is he anyway? Give me a stack of Pratchett and I'm happy. He's funy, quircky, and his characters are so complex and amazing! The man is a genius! No one can beat him! No one!
