who knows.. I would wager not. animals can feel only the basic of emotions such as fear and anger and happiness. I dont think my dog cared when she graduated puppy class. Dolphins, Primates and Whales, may be a different story..

I think that they do. I know I had this dog once who had a lot of fur, a chow to be exact, and we had to shave her once. She was a different dog until her hair grew back and I think it was because she didn't feel pretty anymore.

Yes I believe that it is very strong in Animals. All groups , herds , packs of wild animals have a pecking order and everyone knows their place . In pets you can see the confidence and esteem in a pet that is loved and cared for , whereas an animal that is abused is cowed and afraid of everything

I think that they instinct and can be trained but not self-confidence.If an animal is trying to catch and kill another animal and fails,it does not cry or get get mad at itself,it just tries again.Also animals trained to win contests and races don't celebrate.

I think they get a feeling from those around them. We used to have a poodle and would take him to the groomers for a trim. It seemed like when we praised him and made a fuss about waht a cute bow he had and how w nderful he looked, you could almost see his chest swell with pride. And some dogs seem to get confidence when they know exactly where they stand in the pack order, if they know they have a strong, protected position. Alone they don't see, as brave or confident.

I have never thought about this but I do believe animals can sense if they are loved and knows when they are treated kindly; they reciprocate the feelings.

i would say yes,there was one cat that we had once that we had given a certain bright colored collar,after unsucessfully trying to get it off he showed all the signs of being totally embarrassed.he would hide behind furniture and things,he really seemed to be ashamed to be seen with that thing on. after we removed it he was fine again.
