  • I know people who have recieved threatening emails. Often I take the following course of action: # Keep a record of the communications. # Send the emails to a third party and possibly the police. # Contact the email company who sent the email. (Hotmail/Yahoo etc.) # If pssible, track and identify the sender. # If possible, notify *their* local police. If you get threatening emails, first try to think: who could it be?
  • No, never done anything worth a threat via email as the result.
  • Most of the time if i get a threating email i would tell athorities after i have figuerd that they are being serious
  • i got one once. well i tracked them down and got some destubing photos. i sent them an email with some attackments and a few words to go....... i never heard from him or saw him ever again.
  • Yes I have . at one point quite a few. Somebody had got into my email account and sent out a lot of pornography. I do not know how bad it was because obviously I never saw it. From some of the emails I received even threatening to kill me, I would imagine that the porn was really nasty. I sent as many as I could on to Aol but in the end just deleted anything from anyone I did not know. It did not last for long. Also when I ran a chat room I received threats from people that just wanted to cause trouble so were banned from the room. They were just stupid and nasty . I kept some and forwarded others to AOL.
  • On occasion. You need to figure out if they're serious about the threat. Most aren't; just trying to upset you...in those cases it's best to ignore. Otherwise take immediate action to stem it, as so many ABers advised.
