  • Leviticus 19:26 "Do not eat meat with blood still in it. Do not practice divination or sorcery." Deuteronomy 18:10-11 "Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or cast spells, or who is a medium or spiritist, or who consults the dead." Deuteronomy 18:14 "The nations you will disposses listen to those who practice sorcery or divination, but as for you, the Lord your God has not permitted you to do so." All from NIV. I guess you are trying to figure out how Daniel and others mentioned in the Bible were blessed for prophesying and not condemned. They were doing what God had told them to do. God gave them the ability to prophesy so that others could be warned. God knew that those He was trying to reach could only be reached in certain ways, and so that is why He used the hand writing on the wall!! Hope this helps. In His service, <:))))<>< "My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge." Psalm 62:7
  • There were 2 types of prophets... Prophets of YHWH & prophets of Baal & other dieties... The prophets of YHWH got his word & told it to the people. EVEN IF the people destroyed the tablets or parchment the prophets of YHWH could return with the same word... If Baal & other dities had a 'word' for thier people where is that word? It doesnt exsist anymore... Kinda sad in a way...
  • God's laws applied to all his servants. Sincerely E
