Although homosexuality is not against "nature" the argument that it is against nature is based on philosophical and theological beliefs which include that humans are not animals, that humans are superior than the rest of the life on earth and that Humans where created during a 7 day period of time 5-6 thousand years ago. Of course for those who know better about these things the homosexuality question is not a question at all. Thus it is only those who have a myth-placed belief in God that comes up with those arguments. Those of us who do have a more realistic based belief in God knows that God sees humans to be part and parcel of the natural order thus homosexuality is natural (for homosexuals) and is not a problem. Unlike what God's Son preached about judging others which is, ironically, always forgotten in Myth-based religion(s). ;)

Because, uh...it's not against nature?

It would be against my nature to assume it was against nature. I have had gay and bisexual pets... I am fairly certain they didn't "choose" to be that way. I still maintain the opinion that everyone is by nature, bisexual... nearly every bisexual leans more one way than the other. It is rare for one to be evenly oriented toward both. The need to procreate has been more prevalent in the past, thus, more people where straight. Now that the world has so many people it only makes sense that more people lean the other way. It is logical that, as the world becomes more populated the numbers of homosexual and heterosexual people will even out. The only evidence anyone has that homosexuality and bisexuality are aginst nature, or immoral, is one over-cited book. It's a truly weak defense. Humans are animals. (Unless you think you are vegetable or mineral). Homosexuality is well documented in animals because it IS natural.

Because philosophers and theists who wrote that homosexuality defied nature weren't biologists. Many of them were acting in reaction to other cultures around at the time they wrote, cultures which they thought didn't or shouldn't have a right to power and whose cultural norms were redefined by these theists as sinful to back up their own group's legitimacy. The theological scripts that were written cannot be rescinded by submitting new evidence - as the writers are dead and these texts are seen as infallable or deity-given. Hence the myth that homosexuality is against nature persists.

Because SOME PEOPLE think they read Christ saying so..when in actuality...it was PAUL....who didn't believe, personally, that ANYONE SHOULD MARRY, unless a man (what about a woman buddy?) should burn so with lust that he should not be able to worship effectively. THEN to take unto himself a RIGHT WIFE. I don't think GOD makes mistakes...I'm gay, Christ is my Lord and Savior and I think God is pretty comfortable with my sexual preferences...HE TOLD ME SO!
