what do you mean,confirmed?

I created an account a few days ago. Under my username it says unconfirmed. When I try to comment on other answers or edit my answer, I get an automated msg stating I am unconfirmed and need to get confirmed with an email from AnswerBag. My email is correct in my profile, I do recieve emails.

Instead of waiting for the emails (they can be erratic), just click on your icon in the upper right portion of any page. This takes you to your profile page, where you can view your feedback and click on any link to take you to the pages where you can view comments to your answers and respond to them. Hope this helps.

I think there's bug in the notification system. Even though I've set my preferences to receive notifications when comments or answers come, I haven't been receiving them regularly recently.

i had problems with this but luckily AB-joel noticed and confirmed my account for me hopefully he will see this1! checked your junk mail i take it?

Make sure it's not ending up in a spam folder or something.

I had the same problem until yesterday, so i did two things - i went onto ab-joels blog, underneath the first subject it says 'leave a comment' - it wont let you leave one, but it will bring up a box that allows you to contact user-support/admin, just tell them whats going on. I did that yesterday, and today my account was confirmed without even seeing an email, so must have worked!! Good luck x x

The same thing is happening to me. I have junk mail turned off and resent heaps of times and nothing is happening.

What kind of confirmation - To be here on AB you had to have gotten one somewhere

Check to be sure the e-mail address is right, if it's not that then I don't know.

as long as you can log on, ask answer, rate and moderate it dosen t matter and all is well .

This happened to me and I had to use an alternate e-mail to get confirmed and then it went to my junk folder. Try using a different e-mail. Hope this helps.

i dont think it matters seeing as that you asked a question already as long as you can come on and do stuff i think your ok

They tend to get eaten by spam filters for some reason. Check your junk box, or try a different address.

I finally had to change my e-mail addy in my profile to get the confirmation.

Some Web-based email services (hotmail especially) have been bouncing auto-generated Answerbag emails--we send them, but they don't get through, not even to your spam folder. We're working on a solution which should be ready soon, but if you haven't received a confirmation email, please report it through feedback and we'll get you set up manually.

I signed up Jan. 30 and STILL no confirmation email. I've checked spam. Nothing. I wrote to the email above, still no reply or resolution. What do I do? I can't give points or answer comments.

I'm not confirmed either. It's not in my Spam or on my incoming e-mail at AOL.

It takes a while and a couple resends. it's happened to alot of us.

It was in my spam folder in hotmail.....
