My aunt was a spactacular cook. She cooked all the family dinners (christmas,thanksgiving,easter,and such)so many foods remind me of her. She was a great lady and i miss her very much... mostly chocolate cake and cherry pie though.

Oatmeal and this Russian thing called tvogor (dunno what it is in English, I've never seen it in America) remind me of my grandmother. She's still alive, just not in my life...

Taco bake, it reminds me of my son who passed away. He loved me making it for him.

Pierogies. My grandmother would always make them for the holidays. We only rarely shared those holidays (she lived in NJ and we live in NC). I missed them (and her) so much that I tinkered and researched until I finally developed a recipe that must be very like hers (at least they taste like them). It helped me get closer to all of my family in a way (they had to taste them in addition to being research sources).

Fox Glacier Mints remind me of my Great Grandma because whenever we went to her house she would give us one. It's more nostalgic now she's passed away, but eating one makes me happy - probebly because it reminds me of her.

Liver and onions, cream chipped beef-My grandfather greatest man I ever new. Split-pea soup-my grandmother nothing warmer on a cold winter day. Atleast not in that Irish house.
