What do u think u want to do? Can u handle the friendship? Can you handle yr relationship with him at a different level? Many people stay friends and are able to have an amicable relation with their exes... depends on how detatched u have become from that person as a lover. But the way u have written '"friends" in quotation marks, it looks like the so called friendship exes are supposed to have, to show that they are sophisticated and over each other. Look after yrself girl and yr emotional needs, and make yr decision accordingly.

I am still friends with most of my ex-es. There's a closeness there cos you were together you know. It's gotta be kept light tho cause their new boyfriends can be a little jealous, and your not really a good friend if you make their life hard...
