  • Bit of both i think. You have to be part good to start atleast but if you have lessons, you can improve to a really good voice!
  • anyone can definitely learn to sing, as long as they're not tone deaf. tone deaf people wouldn't be interested in singing anyway because it all sounds the same to them. just make sure to train your ear as well as your voice.
  • Well, I've known quite a few people that took lessons and still can't actually sing. But if that's what makes them happy, it's worth it.
  • Professional teachers of voice are evidently in agreement that unless a person has a biological defect rendering them clinicly tone deaf, they can learn to carry a tune with their voice. It also is evidently the case that only a very small percentage of the overall population is tone deaf. Something like one percent.
  • It depends on how pretty you are. The prettier you are the less your actual talent seems to matter. :-) Good luck!
  • Anyone can sing. Some sing better than others. Good singing requires lots of training. Lessons in music and breathing exercises while singing are required during singing lessons. If professional singers run in your family, more likely you will have not problem building your singing skills.
  • Most anyone can be taught at least to carry a tune and make the best of one's voice. However, some people are gifted and that cannot be duplicated by just anyone. You cannot turn the average Joe into Julio Eglaisias.
