have you considered a gamecube? or a sega genesis? what about an N64? personally if i were you, i would go to a thrift store, pick up an n64 and then go buy starfox 64, smashbros, supermario 64, donkey kong 64, diddy kong racing, goldeneye, banjo and kazooie and banjo tooie, zelda ocarina of time and majoras mask and maby jet force gemini. some of those games can be expensive to buy, although you mey also be able to find them at the thrift store. or you could just use ur ps2 or buy another one if urs is about to go, and then get into the rpgs from the ps1 era. like legend of mana, final fantasy anthologies, or the collection that has chrono trigger and final fantasy 4, or chrono cross, final fantasy 7,8,9, legend of dragoon. you should also pick up dino crisis or resident evil 1, 2, 3. their are a lot more ps1 rpg's that you could get into but im just naming all the good ones that ive been fortunate enough to own. seeing how uve stuck with a ps2 and ps3 is out of the question cost wise, i get the impression ur tight on money or just a casual gammer and that graphics are not that important to you. Because of this i suggested the n64, could pick it up cheap, games are just as entertaing than any other games from past or present consoles. whatever system you buy should be reflected in the type of games you prefer. think of ur next purchase this way, games have been out for awhile, what are the odds that in the past couple years their were games made that were better than any from earlier decades.
