  • No. It would mean that competition for jobs with a degree requirement would go up and people taking jobs with a lower wage that need doing to keep the country rolling would go down. There's already a problem with Universities turning out too many people with PhDs and huge student debt as it is. Unfortunately for the PhDs there just aren't the jobs available to employ all of them with the right pay amount to pay back those debts. I think increasing the number of people in the jobforce with degrees would probably have the same effect. Unfortunately, I don't know what the solution is - this seems to be one of those side effects of living in a capitalist society.
  • The value of the Associates degree would decrease. Basically you would be required to have the Associates degree to work at McDonald's. It would be like someone coming up to you now and saying that that have graduated from high school. Well statistically a huge majority of people have done that, so it really has little value to a recruiter and that person would still be unemployed.
