there isn't alot of room, but it's not too bad. it's mostly noisy.

It was just like a MRI, I went in head first. It is just a bunch of noise, and no, there isn't much room, but if you close your eyes, you'll be fine.

An MRI is much worse, although they now have "open" MRI's where your whole body is not inside the "tube" but maybe only 1/2 of it is. They are not really that bad. A CT scan is not bad at all Staffie, and I don't like enclosed spaces either. You can see and breathe easily and it is over very quickly, compared to most CT scans. Don't worry about it - it really is not bad at all.

Yes I have had several , they are not at all scary you are just laid on a stretcher type device and go into a circular machine, the machine rotates around you, not literally just the camera part like being in a large tumble dryer. You can ask them to stop at any time with a buzzer that they will give you . Tell them that you are claustrophobic. They will work quickly and it will all be over in a very short tim The CT machine is not as close as the MRI and is much less claustrophobic. For your kidneys you will probably go in feet first and nowhere near your head and face
