  • When I got hurt I was using physical therapy, chiropractor and a muscle relaxer (drug) to stop the spasms. Once I got better I stay that with exercise and I am more careful so I won’t get hurt again.
  • I use exercise and a chiropractor twice a month. I would suggest a chiropractor because they actually fix the problem instead of numbing the pain with just drugs. Be careful though chiropractic care seems to be prone to a lot of "quacks," so don't use anyone you haven't been referred to by another person who has received treatment from and been happy with the doctor.
  • lose weight could sometimes be a good idea
  • A physiotherapist to begin with - but now almost exclusively exercise and stretching. I wouldn't use a chiropractor ever and will occasionally use a pain-killer but never as a "solution". The best thing I ever did for my lower back was lose weight, get fit and get strong through that 'core' area using weights and kickboxing.
  • I use a combination of all of those. Sports therapist too. The why is because i do a lot of stupid sports and danced a lot, so have had numerous back injuries and would be in constant pain without the exercise and stretching and on the worst days the painkillers also.
  • There are stretches you can do without the chiro. You can try hanging upside down for a bit, what it does is that it stretches your every vertabra takes the pressure off. Try it at least 2 times a day for about 1 week. Im sure you will find relief maybe not cured but better then taking meds.
