Cardio. I do water exercises in a pool due to having arthritic knees. Diet has also helped tremendously

I would think cardio because muscle weighs more than fat so if it is weight loss your looking for
-
I lost the most weight by incorporating both cardio and strength training with a healthy diet. Once I added both types of training, the inches just seemed to melt off. The scales sometimes didn't show it because muscle weighs more than fat and I was gaining muscle and losing the fat.

Cardio. Strength training builds muscle mass and since muscle weighs more than fat (for the same volume), you look slimmer but gain weight. Cardio tends to tone muscles rather than build and cardio activity tends to burn more fat since the activity is continuous rather than spurts of activity followed by breaks.
-
Circuit training that incorporates both cardio and weight training. A good fitness program will embrace both.

I am taking circuit weight training as of right now in college. I watch what I eat also and I feel GREAT! I feel like I am not dragging heavy water loads. I feel light and energetic. I plan to take supplements in the future to gain muscles more quickly.

The most sure way to lose weight is long stretches of cardio. You won't find a fat marathoner, but you'll find a lot of fat body builders. Personally, I don't recommend that people aim for weight loss though. Your goal should be learning to live healthy - not just lose pounds. Go in with the mentality that you want to be a size X or lose X pounds, and that's the most you'll get. Living a healthy lifestyle will last a lifetime. It means eating right (extremely important) and getting healthy physical activity every day. For eating - that means eating a balanced diet of unprocessed, whole foods,in healthy portions. For activity that means hitting all three areas regularly - strength (weights), endurance (cardio) and flexibility (stretching).

Both. Muscle does not weigh more than fat. A pound is a pound no matter what. Muscle is just DENSER.. so it takes up less space than fat. But the scale won't tell you this, your clothes will. I do both and have lost 50lbs in about 6 months.. and have went from a size 24 to an 18.. but I'm far from my goal.

cardio. but strength training makes me feel better when i can see the numbers go up on the weights =)
