Buy second hand. You can have your cake and eat it too- in this case have the shoes, and a shirt and tie too.
-
Wal-Mart! But if it came down to it and could only get one or the other it would be the shoes for the child, I can always make due with what I have!
-
buy the shoes and go to the job interview in shorts a T-Shirt i know i had to
-
Borrow a shirt and tie and get some used shoes from a thrift store for your kid and use the rest of the money for groceries and a haircut. Heck you could get all of that at Walmart for less than $50. (Please don't post any replies about how evil Walmart is)
-
I'd go to Ross. I could get all the things I needed there and yes, most likely have enough left to buy lucnh after the interview. Being a stay at home mom/student, I've learned how to stretch even 10 bucks when I get it.
-
GO TO YOUR LOCAL CHURCH OR OUTREACH (THE CHURCH FIRST)
-
take your kid to an intersecton, hold him in your arms and have a sign, need money for child's shoes. someone will give you money. say, May YahWeh Bless You For Your Love.
-
We go to the local Salvation Army Store and he gets his shoes, I get my tie and shirt ... and we still have a couple of bucks to stop by Mickey D's for lunch .. +5
-
Try a Goodwill/Salvation Army...they have new items a lot of the times...and then there are organizations that actually give away suits for interview...(I know they do it for ladies)
-
Go to the Casino and try and double it up. Then buy both
-
I would go to a discount store, like Ross or Walmart.
-
The child comes first. Check out all your resources to make your money stretch but if the tie & coat cannot be gotten just say a prayer, march into the interview with confidence & act bold & polite. You'll be surprised how many employers are impressed less with clothes & more by you :)
-
If the thing your child needs the most is new shoes.....your fortunate. Count your blessings.
-
Taking this question in the spirit it was given, I would get the shirt and tie. You can't provide for a child with no job, shoes or not. . Before anyone gets upset, please note the word 'need' appears twice in the last sentence.
