God is a title, not a name. I must ask the name of the god to which we are referring. The devil doesn't exist. As to what we are...we are what we make ourselves - no more, no less. Edit: An impersonal force such as you are describing cannot be either inherently good or intrinsically evil...it simply is what it is. And I answered your question, which is "what are we" quite a while back.

We're spread all along that line between "perfectly good" and "perfectly bad"... Personally, I think I've left my head up the good end and ...another bit... down the bad end...

We are sinners, ie we are born rebels. But we have the capacity to be like God in character, if we accept his leadership.

The Bible teaches us that we are all under sin. David said "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me." Psalm 51:5. We were good, until Adam disobeyed God and pretty much sold himself over to the devil. After that, he and all his children inhereted a sin nature. The only human being that did not inheret this was The Lord Jesus Christ because He was born of a virgin and conceived by the Holy Ghost. He was 100% God Almighty and 100% human at the same time. Once we receive Him into our hearts and lives as our Personal Lord and Saviour, We are given new life in Christ spiritually and have a new nature (the Spirit.) put into us, although in this present life, we still struggle against our old nature.
