The words "popular" and "worldwide" is debatable. I'd say RO is hugely popular in asian countries such as Korea, Japan and the Philippines, but as far as western countries are concerned it would be safe to say it is "recongized". As far as I know, Everquest and Final Fantasy XI MMORPG is what dominates the West.

ragnarok is popular in korea and japan, philippine, china because of that in china and korea they have ragnarok 2 already i know those well because iam korean motmigetsm maru. when u read that is a korean word but in korea, ragnarok, is a FAILURE game a 1 korean invented the ragnarok but no one plays ragnarok in korea it is a FAILURE game in korea but in philippine most of peoples plays a ragnarok but for not only small peoples are playing the ragnarok cause before there was like 10 000 peoples in chaos server but now only 3000 peopls are playing in chaos server cause ragnarok is getting boring because all u do is train train and sell items and PVP it is too borign already so most of peoples plays a ragnarok but i still play
