  • I suppose that it is that, the statement means someone is entitled to the opinion that everyone is NOT entitled to their own opinion which goes against the original statement which is supposedly of fact but can't be if it stands. It's quite difficult to explain.. If you take the statement as fact - it would conversely mean someone would not be entitled to have the opinion that everyone is not entitled which would mean it cannot be fact.
  • i dont have to be entitled to my opinion i just have it. though you know what they say about opinions.
  • Most subjects that people have opinions about, have fewer possible opinions than there are people in the world. As such, most people have opinions that are not unique ... although it is their opinion, they may share the same opinion with many others ... so their opinion is not actually their own, it is shared.
  • Everyone obviously has their own opinions and it's okay to have them because every person is a different world, but some opinions don't need to be said out loud or shared with others.
  • The statement completely disregards the opinion of anyone who believes that not everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
  • That's because we live in a totalitarian government and the thought police will arrest me and send me to room 101 if I were to voice my own opinion.
  • Well the grammatical error is much more straightforward: "their" should be changed to "his" or "his or her." And why do I need an outside source to give me the right to my own opinion?
  • Actually, there isn't one. It does disregard the fact that some people hold the opinion that not everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that is not a logical fallacy in the statement, because the statement simply says that everyone is entitled to *Hold* their opinion, nowhere does it state or imply that the opinions of everyone, or even those of *Anyone* for that matter, are correct, founded in reality, and do not contain logical fallacies themselves.
