Do you get really offended when people make fun of "special needs" people? I cant stand it when people do, they are just so sweet.

Yes, I do. I remember how people used to use the term "spastic" for an idiot, when people who were spastic were just trying to survive with muscular problems they were born with. I hate it when people make fun of someone like a Down Syndrome as I know several children with it who are special to me.

yes I do it takes a person with no class at all to make fun of someone who they think is less fortunate than they are. Anyone who would do that is far more handicapped than someone with special needs.

It makes me so mad, I work with disabled adults and children so I realize how wonderful they are. My job is basically helping them to get out into the community and do regular things, like shopping, going to the movies. When we do go out, you should see the looks that people give them. It pisses me off just writing about it, I just feel like cursing people out.
