Stop buying those gas guzzling SUVs (gas efficient ones only people). Oh and you people with the hummers, why in G-d's name do you have to get them in yellow??? BAH!
-
Start buying more fuel efficient cars, no more SUVs. Also, start car pooling alot more. This will make it cheaper, but it wont solve the real problem. Alternative fuels need to be found and brought into use before gas prices will go down.
-
Decrease the demand .. carpool, public transportation, or just a good old fashioned boycott(but that will never happen.)
-
Drive less -- it's a basic rule of economics, the law of supply and demand -- if there is less demand, prices will go down. There are other factors, for example, problems in the supply chain -- Venezuela, Nigeria, and Saudia Arabia, all major USA suppliers. All present problems of one sort or another, not to mention our war in Iraq, which also increases demand for gasoline.

The American people have to stand together. Imagine the wake up call for our government if...... EVERYONE would refuse to work for 1 week or NOT purchase gas for 1 week. Imagine if we all would refuse to do so even longer – until gas prices go down! That would hit them where it really hurts (their pocket books) The big companies are getting government funding to move their businesses to other countries. The working class (small business) is getting NOTHING for staying in America. The government makes their living off the working class people. I think American businesses should close shop for a week or longer. Or the American people should refuse to show up at work. Just think of the impact on the government. I would be willing to do this in a heartbeat, but one person cannot make a difference when the whole Country is in a shambles. The working class people are going to get driven to their knees one day soon. The illegal’s that are coming into this country to work are send money home to their families. (Can’t blame them for trying to make a living) If Americans don’t wake up – we ourselves will end up in other countries working & sending money home to our families & seniors who cannot work. I can just imagine what you are thinking…… Don’t go to work for a week? How will I live? My answer is ….. If something isn’t done – in the long run you may not have a job anyhow. So why not do something about it now? America – The Land of Opportunity! (WHAT A JOKE)

Maybe this will be of help to you- what I do is walk to the corner stores and postoffice. Along with encouraging my family to do the same or you can take the bus or train. One more suggestion is to car pool. However there are other alternatives than building a car I happen to have done some research on the topic and found where this guy Oliver South convereted his BMW to water gas fuel. He has a video that shows step by step how anyone can do this. There is also a review website that I found in my research that covered a few other companies that are doing the same thing. You might want to check the review site at http://waterfuelconversion.googlepages.com

Embargo the Arab countries where most of the oil comes from. No food in.

We may all be thinking about saving some money at the pumps and there are alternatives...Some of us have good points...striking for a week or weekend...but that does us no good if we still have no solution...we need to stop being ignorant for a min and have everyone looking at the bigger picture here...the fumes our cars are emitting are poisonous to our atmosphere...we may be able to somehow regulate the price of gas but thats get us nowhere if that nickel we save today will cost us 5 dollars down the line...what we need is a reasonable solution for all of us...first we need to admit that driving will always cost you money and it will always depreciate...

I'm totally down for a full on strike. I could take a vacation for a week any time. =P

As long as the sale price per barrel doesn't come down how can the gas prices be lowered. In the late 80s early 90s oil was $12/$15 a barrel now its $130. Unfortunately, oil is a sellers cartel and we are all at their mercy.
