  • Tell your best friend to throw you a shower and include baby furbiture on the registry. You can get the most bang for your buck with Wal-Mart, K-Mart and Target
  • Go to Yahoo.com and click on groups, type in freecycle (and the name of your town and state or county and state). Join the group and post Wanted: Baby furniture, clothing, items, etc in good condition. Am expecting and can't afford to buy the items. also look through the postings and see if anyone has offered any of the items and they have not been posted as TAKEN yet. 2. Contact the nearest Birthright and local churches to see if they can help. 3. If you have not registered for WICS, and other goverment aid, you need to go to the local (or county)Social Services office (google to find the location) and get signed up.
  • If you look in the phone book there are a lot of places that are crisis pregnancy centers. They mostly do pregnancy testing but a lot have helpful programs to help mothers in need provide things for their babies. also, please go to your local DHS or DSS office and apply for medicaid to make sure you and the baby are medically insured. Go up to a yard sale and explain your situation and ask for items that you need. Most people at yard sales are just trying to get rid of their stuff, and someone will surely help you out. Also, there is a website http://www.freecycle.org/ of people just giving away their stuff if you are willing to go get it. Lastly, walk into a church, and say, "please! can you help me??!!"
