Help answer this question below.

Old valve radio died. Any ideas?

It was working perfectly when it started to warm up and suddenly clicked and died. The fuse is fine. Any help is much appreciated

    Maybe one of the tubes / valves died.

    Do they all light up? If not perhaps the power supply went zingo.

    Open it up - pull the tubes and re insert them - check the connections, smell and look for bad wires and blown resistors.

    And check the power cord too.

    A resistance check on the heaters of the tubes (valves) to see if one is open circuit, the same for any wirewound resistor, that would be the most likely problem. put the number of the valve into google ie EL34 and you will find out what pins are the heaters for you to check.

    U could send it to me for safe keeping. Alternately, u could have the tubes tested. They do go bad after awhile.
