When watching TV cooking or gardening shows, do you ever get truly inspired? Examples, please.

    Yes, I am a big fan of the Food Network. Alton Brown's Good Eats is my favorite, followed by Iron Chef America, Iron Chef and a few others. I will watch a show and think about how to convert the concept into a vegan/vegitarian method.

    Yep! I love them! I may not cook an entire meal like I see on a cooking show, but I remember the tips and some of the food combinations and try to always improve on my cooking. Also I LOVE home decorating shows, too. Watching them has helped me in decorating and furnishing the apartment my husband and I moved into at the beginning of the year. I've since had friends and family both tell me that our place looks like it should be in a magazine. :)

    Have to agree with Nelson. I like the food network too. Alton is so scientific it makes things funny and interesting. Not crazy about Emeril but love the network in general. Of course there is that one guy who eats with is mouth open and I could surely do without that!

    I love to watch them. I like to experiment when I cook and like to get different ideas or tips to make things easier. I have never watched to food network, but I think I will try it out after reading the last two answers.
