Question

Help answer this question below.

Does it piss you off when people tell you that there's something wrong with you if you haven't accepted Jesus as your savior?

ESPECIALLY when you're not Christian, don't you find that very offensive?

When I wasn't a Christian people would tell me about the Christian Faith, but in those times I did not find any interest in their beliefs. They would leave me alone and go find someone else to talk to, since these were street missionaries giving out booklets and pamphlets while inviting me to their Church to receive Jesus as my Lord & Savior. I kept the gifts they gave me, I just never felt enraged or found it offensive because they were doing what the Bible instructed them to do as (Mark 16:15) says to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.

The next time you run into Christians who are trying to convert you, then just tell them that your not interested, simple as that. It's not like they have a gun to force you to accept something that you want. The Bible teaches that if Christians are not "received" by hearing their words whether in a house or in the city (Matthew 10:14), (Acts 13:49-51), they are to shake the dust off their feet and speak to other people that perhaps might be interested in converting.

I am a Christian and YES it bothers me when people try to RAM their particular beliefs down my throat without any consideration whatsoever of what I may believe or think. No respect.

You bet'cha! But, I'm not lucky enough to be told that there's "something wrong" with me.

I always get a well-meaning Christian telling me that I'm going to Hell. Just once, I'd like to retort back: "They're your rules. It's your Hell. YOU burn in it."

In addition, I'd like to follow through on this thought: "Never mind the rule of three. I'm cutting this person's head off."

I can take being called a Satan Worshiper. I can take being called a Warlock. I can take misinformed people calling me evil or an old hag. I can't take being told about the "true" religion or about Jesus.

People should keep their stupid opinions to themselves.

I've never had anyone tell me that, even before I was a Christian. No I wouldn't find that offensive. If they did tell me that something was wrong with me, I would simply tell them thanks for your concern then move on. To take it a step further what you described in your question is no different than an Atheist saying that there's something wrong with me for believing in God or accepting Jesus as Savior.

Nope, they are allowed their opinion, I don't have to agree with it.

I would just tell 'em that I'm not nutty enough to believe in all that stuff.

One thing that I guess that makes Canada boring is that we don't have many vibrant fundamentalist cranks getting into our faces; course one might get fed up with that sort of thing after while.

Not in the sense of accepting any role model.

When I see people criticising others ideas I think that is perfectly fair game where people have made them public. This isn't someone's private home after all, it's the internet! Can you get more public than posting your views on an online forum, or any more odd than getting annoyed when they are engaged with online?

The same goes for any religion, or political view for that matter, brought to the public stage.
