I used it once or twice a few months or back, solely to see why people slagged it off so much. After receiving total non answers to my question, the most stupid answer being chosen as 'best answer' and then the question being closed, I discovered that Answerbag truly is the best. So no, I have no desire to repeat the experience thank you!

If you like trolls, clones, racism and non-existent "customer care", you might like Yahoo Answers. Personally, I would not recommend it. Of course, I am the lovely recipient of 22 clones to defame me and 35+ accounts to mock me and my people. And no, yahoo answers did not take care of the problem. I left.

Its a fucking messed up site. Trolls run wild and yahoo has no security at all. To get someone banned all you have to do is report over and over and evuatally the computer counts them up and you get banned.

I believe AnswerBag to be the more prestigious Q&A website. Plus it was started before yahoo answers caame along.

I have for 4 months, and I personally hate it. I had over 8000 points and I'm leaving it at that. I left and won't contribute on there again. There's too many rules, it's strict on "chatting", they unreasonably delete questions and ban users, the users are pretty dumb themselves and won't give straight answers.

Judging from the poor quality of the answers I find there from time to time, I don't think I'd enjoy it over there at all...

No thanks, been down that road twice and didn't like either time. It has to be one of the most rude site and ill kept, poorly run, no customer service etc, etc, etc. A person can get booted for no reason at all, and the ultimate insult is the e-mails that keep coming where people keep choose my answer's yet I was booted off, for the same one's I use in PC troubleshooting here. YUCK

Oh I hated that place. I ditched that, months before I found this place. And I left by asking a question I knew that no one would like. If I have to go, I'm going to go all out.

I tried it as a lark about 10 months ago. You lose points for asking question. WTF? Sometimes questions can be removed becasue they are too old or some bullcrap like that. This site protects the dumbest questions which is good becasue that it is non-biased in its approach to maintain the integrity of its intellectual base. No dupes and a reward system help maintain a balance of regularity. I know this place can seem like a popularity contest at times but on the average it has proven to be a valuable knowledge base that we as users are able to improve upon with suggestions for new categories, future plans, and a staff that actually works with users, community leaders and a penalty box system to punish users who abuse the rules. This is a nice little community here where normally we all get along and work towards obtaining information.
