  • That's just it, you shouldn't get pregnant whilst on the pill because it makes you release hormones that prevents eggs being fertile. I suppose on the extremely rare occasion that you were indeed pregnant whilst on the pill then the child will have defects because the wrong hormones will be going around the body/foetus. The defects are not predictable though.
  • There are many things that could happen. Your body could think it's preganant; producing the placenta and all other symptoms of pregnancy without a fetus. You could carry it until you realized you were pregnant and abort it. Miscarriage is a possiblity. Birth defects are almost guaranteed, but are very unpredictable. Case in point; I ended up pregnant on the pill. I was 14 weeks before I knew it. Everything looked fine in the ultrasound at 16 weeks, all blood work was normal. At 18 weeks, I started cramping and spotting. I ended up in surgery with a half developed fetus. Doctors are not sure why i got pregnant. I was not on antibiotics (they kill the effects of the bill) and I had not missed a pill in years. Always use a backup contraceptive.
  • it depends on how long you were on the pill after you realized you were pregnant......if it was no longer than a month or so, it should not be a problem......you may have experienced headaches and nausea a lot........take care....Brian....
