    Benito Mussolini was pals with Adolf Hitler. Mussolini actually created the first SS which Hitler later copied. I forget what the group was called. But the notorious black SS uniform that Hitler's SS wore was copied from Mussolini's thugs.

    Mussolini was jealous of Hitler in that he was a more authoritative and brutal leader than himself and he was constantly trying to one up Hitler. Who wants to be the more brutal person?

    He plunged Italy in to war and opened up his borders to the brutality of not only his own thugs, but the SS. Any small amounts of good he may have accidentally did were devoured by his evil.
