Question

Help answer this question below.

My PS2 can't read PS1 games anymore, but PS2 games and DVDs work fine. I tried cleaning the discs and blowing compressed air into it, but that didn't work. What could be wrong?

I had this problem too. Although I noticed that the discs just kept skipping. So to help the console grip the disc I places a small strip of electrical tape onto the top of the disc. Walla, it catches everytime. Strange how it just stopped being able to play them.

Is it one of the older, phatter ps2s?
Because those do, eventually, lose all ability to play PS1 games.
