  • The faster you go, the more gas you use.
  • It's possible that one car could use more gas than the other, depending on which RPM range the car was most efficient in. If a car were more efficient at a higher RPM when in a higher gear and speed, then that car would use less gas. If the car were more efficient at a lower speed or gear and RPM, then that car would use less gas. I've heard that most cars seem to be at their best efficiency between 55 and 65 MPH.
  • It depends. There's an optimum speed for each vehicle. But it's the style of driving that will make a difference. Less aggressive, smoother driving will use less fuel than speeding up, braking, speeding up all the time. Fewer gear changes, better fuel economy. Manual vs. automatic? Another kettle of ferrets....
  • Thats depends on the car. How it runs at a certain rpm, as well as how well it moves through the air. But if by speeding you mean the standard "speeding", which isn't much over, and cops won't give much notice, the cost savings I'd say is negligible.
  • The faster you go - the more gas you use. If you windows are open you using even more because it creates a drag on the car. If you use air conditioning you use your gas up faster. You jus can't win when you want to cool off.
