Why is it often considered distasteful and unacceptable for a woman to have sex with lots of people but if a man does it, he is labelled a "stud" and is congratulated for it?

Essentially, it's nothing more than sexism. It's yet another example of some people attempting to hold women to different standards than they apply to men. There's nothing intrinsically "good" or "bad" about however many sexual partners you may or may not have, whether you're male or female.

It's sterotypical thats all, it's just the absurd slang men choose to beef up their machismo to no avail. In most society's the term whore can be a term of endearment, or taken out of context as being a vulgar referance. Normally men will referance a female as a whore if she doesn't give up the goods, or if he cheats on him, even in a relationship a male may referance the female as a whore through some weird sexual perception or the other. Your damned if you do, and damned if you don't. But if it makes any consolation men who refer to women as whores are usually bastards themselves... not studs.

Well, I think it's distasteful and unacceptable for a man to have sex with lots of people too, if there aren't any emotions involved. Especially when they go on about their 'conquests'. But that wasn't really your question.

I have wondered this my entire life!!! It's stupid that they say well i have heard it's nothing to a man he just gets off and for a women it's more emotional and we want connections well maybe some women or even me but not all sometimes all we want is to get pleased and get you gone asap!!!!!!!!
