I've never heard of a holdup at a DMV but my local DMV was broken into and blank Driver's License and Registration forms were stolen. If memory serves me correctly, the thieves forged a DL and tried to purchase alcohol. The liquor store owner was suspicious and called the police. I never followed the story line from that point.
