  • Road rage is when a traffic situation is escalated because of one or more drivers acting out of anger or rage. For example, a person may become so angry over an aggressive driving incident that he or she overreacts and retaliates with some type of violence. These violent acts may range from a physical confrontation to an assault with a motor vehicle or possibly a weapon. It's not the road rage itself that is illegal, it is the acts of violence that result from this rage that are illegal. No one can tell you how to feel, but you are expected to handle those feelings in a non-violent way which does not negatively impact others. • Road rage is also when someone who is outraged at the actions of another driver, uses his/her own car as a weapon to retaliate. This can be as simple as giving the driver a knuge at the next set of traffic lights, it might be trying to cut into the lane you are in, but often to turns into something far more serious. This first phase may be considered to be traffic violations. They are often hard to prove because of the lack of wittnesses you can stop to support you. When a driver gets out of his car and confronts you with wild accusations it turns into assault. If there's some object he is threatens you with, I think you get the picture. If you can get a close look at the car or even better the licence plate, the law is on you're side and hopefully things will turn out right. If this where to happen at night, I would drive to the nearest well-lit place like a petrol station. there are video cameras that with film everything.
