    Carbon dioxide, or CO2, is a gas naturally occurring in the atmosphere. Too much CO2, especially inside your home, is unhealthy. Although CO2 is slightly heavier than air, you can wall-mount CO2 detectors near head height. Restaurants often have have them near implements that use compressed CO2 gas.
