come on get real, it means good luck. If you can get a lawyer to take that case you get yourself a real ambulance chaser there.

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Break a leg" is a well-known idiom in theater which means "good luck." It is typically said to actors and musicians before they go out onto stage to perform.

The expression reflects a theatrical superstition in which wishing a person "good luck" is considered bad luck. The expression is sometimes used outside the theater as superstitions and customs travel through other professions and then into common use.

You have a right to sue for anything, so I guess you could. Are you going to win? Probably not.

the words " break a leg" do not create a legal and binding contract..implied or otherwise

the best you could hope for might be a case of "Contibutory Negligence" though this would be circumstantial.. to make this work you would need accompanying " Prima Facie" for instance missing a cue or a forgotten line or two.

If a jury could be convinced that you were under "Duress" because of the threat of breaking a leg then you might have a civil liability suit...tort is hard to posecute

If we could bring in ethnic differances and with only six degrees of seperation....well we might just have a case against Osama bin Laden

If they don't say 'break a leg' you'll bomb or some kind of superstitious nonsense like that, and in today's market, you probably could sue.
