Help answer this question below.

Weren't the mullahs of Iran crowing that their 1979 revolution was the inspiration for the Egyptian and Tunisian protesters?

Qaddafi was also being smug and now that the revolutionary fervor has spread to their respective countries,they are using their armies and paramilitaries to (unlike Egypt)brutally suppress dissent.

    Before the current Arabs uprising Iran was the only country in the region which was constantly facing protests agains its ruling systems for a century. The last significant one was a few years back after the presidential ellection which led to a series of protests which lasted up until recently. Even though I don't trust their intentions but I think they have a point there. Plus the out of nowhere Arabs protests look suspicious in many ways.
