After parking and turning off the engine, my 1994 Dodge Intrepid makes a liquid sloshing sound for about 5 seconds that seems to come from the rear and even underneath the car. Is this normal?

Yes, it's the gas sloshing around in the gas tank.

I have a 1997 Dodge Intrepid 3.3L and there's a thunking sound coming from under the air filter box. The only thing I can think of is the black canister/cylinder under the airbox, next to the ECM(or some other grey control box there) The engine runs fine.
