An opposing car turning right would never collide with the car making the u-turn. But the car making the right turn has the right of way, the reason is that the car making the u-turn would have its left turn signal on, and the same rules apply as a car making a left turn and a car making a right turn. It is up to the person making the U-turn to make sure he is safe to do so, since people will probably just be expecting a left turn, and not a u-turn.

Depends on the traffic signs and signals to determine who has the right of way. meaning, a vehicle making a right turn, must obey all traffic signs and traffic signals. a vehicle making a legal u turn, will have the right of way, providing there are no signs prohibiting such a turn and the turn can be safely made. if the vehicle making a right turn has a yield or red traffic light, he must yield to the u turn vehicle. possession of a traffic lane also plays a part in the determination. who was there first. of course, emergency vehicles always have the right of way...period.

In the light control intersection, when the light become green, I pull up to the middle of the intersection to wait for the on-coming car clear up, then make the left turn, one car from my right came into intersection to hit me. Whose fault? He claimed his light already changed to be green when he came in. I remember my light was yellow, but as I drove slow, so maybe his light changed at that moment. But I think I still have the right of way as I was laredy in the middle of the intersection, he should wait for me to clear out of the intersection before he came in, other we would collide with each other without other choice. Am I right?
