Well, based on a serial bus communication standart the connection line [PS2 controller cord] connot exceed the lenght of 5 meters beetwen transmiter and receiver [or transeiver]. To assure the best quality on the signal link the link cable has to be 30% of the maximum lenght acceptable [PS2 controllers orginal lenght are between 1,5 and 1,8 meters]. If you want to build and extensor be aware that you have to choose a cable with the same proprierties of the original cable [Number of lines and has to be shielded!] and do the math. For an original PS2 controller [up to 1,8m long] make an extensor up to 3m long [leave 20cm off because you have to sum conectors and plugs and soldering bit, etc]

I don't know how long can it be, but I don't see why should it be longer than it is. If you need longer cord why don't you buy wireless controller?

Crash Twinsanity keeps telling me to connect a controller. But I already have a controller popped in... a Mad Catz PS2 Analog Controller.
