I have a 2002 Kia Rio, the owner's manual tells me a couple of serial numbers for brake fluid, but when I got to the store I can never find them. What type of brake fluid does it take?

Most vehicles take plain DOT-3 brake fluid, though some take Dot-4 or DOT-5. The serial number you see is just the Kia part number, trying to get you to buy the brake fluid from a Kia dealership.
