Is there any control over the components of the drugs that are legally sold in the Netherlands?

Im not really sure that I understand your question. The legality of drugs in the netherlands is not exactly the way you would think. You can buy hash or marijuana in the coffee shops and is generally accepted but they arn't exactly legal. Last time I was there it was "generally accepted" to have 4 grams of marijuana on your person. If you do something stupid though you are still in possession of an illegal substance and it can have conceqences. Several states in the US it is only a misdermeanor to have less then one ounce and is only a ticket. By those standards it is accepted to have 28 grams which is far more then the accepted amount in amsterdam. There are also smart shops in the netherlands where you can purchase mushrooms but they were under alot of scrutiny and I would not be suprised if they were outlawed since my last trip. The point being the drugs that you can buy over there are natural! There is no human influence, other then the growers botany skills, over the "components" of drugs as there would be in hard drugs which are NOT TOLERATED AT ALL in the netherlands.
