No, I'm thinking it has to do with the less people are excercising and eating nutritiously. More and more, the kids in the US are spending many hours playing video games and spending time on the computer, and playing and being active, less and less. Also, with the food market trying to mass produce everything with little to no nutritional value, most everything that is being eaten is bad. In fact, if most people did a health cleaning of their cupboards and fridges, they would probably be left wtih next to nothing. I know mine was, and is when I don't keep tabs. Adults pass these things onto our children and we don't even know it.

The reason is that children are steadily more eten ready-made food that are made in the cheapest thinkable way, that is mostly containing salty water, bad fat and bad carbohydrates. Some of the abduction stories may also be memories, and especially childhood memories, from medical ordeals done to people under anesthesia and not told about in detail before and afterwords. Afterwords the memories are transfered to alien abduction memories because this is a par of the common culture. And the ufo that beems the abductee up, is simply a lamp as found in many OR rooms or endisopic laboratories.
