Well, I guess in a more typical sense, he isn't really the ideal sexy man (He's bony, sallow, greasy, rude, nerdy,etc.). But he is a Byronic hero, and they always have a strong tendency to be very sexy because they're sort of mysterious and angry, but they have good hearts and they're capable of deep, strong affection. So, he's sexy on the inside, which I guess makes him sorta sexy on the outside as well. Oh, and it helps that he's played by Alan Rickman in the movies. Alan's pretty much sex on two legs.

As he appeared in the movie, yes, very much. He looks so much like my Hubby it is uncanny.

snape is sexy, mostly because he doesn't know...just look at his way he's talking...he's something sultry about him, something....dunno. And it's exactly this dunno what makes him even sexier. And his intelligence...you know, it's this mixture: "I'm sensitive, so don't hurt me or I'll hex you!" and this: "Do I look like I actually care?".that makes Snape Snape...hope I helped ^^

Incredible - I'm not alone on this one! In the books, his intelligence, mystery, and most of all the always-in-control coolness made him sort of sexy. Alan Rickman's fabulous voice added to the above. The double-agent business was exciting--people who can pull that off are remarkable and compelling. I always knew he'd land on the "right" side.
