    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

First, determine the number of cubic inches on one individual piece of candy corn, with an approximately triangular base of 0.082 inches squared and a height of 13/16 inches, which equals 0.066625 cubic inches. Since a gallon jar contains 231 cubic inches, divide this by 0.066625. The answer is 3,467 candy corns. Accounting for space lost because of shape and spacing irregularities, the actual number would fall around 3,350.
