    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

There is room for between 200 and 250 songs on a 1GB MP3 player. Each minute of MP3 compressed music uses approximately 1MB of space. There are 1,000MB in 1GB. Therefore the actual number of songs can be higher or lower depending on their lengths.
