This is from the Chick-fil-A website (http://www.chickfila.com/Closed.asp):

"Admittedly, closing all of our restaurants every Sunday makes us a rarity in this day and age. But it's a little habit that has always served us well, so we're planning to stick with it.

Our founder, Truett Cathy, wanted to ensure that every Chick-fil-A employee and restaurant operator had an opportunity to worship, spend time with family and friends or just plain rest from the work week. Made sense then, still makes sense now."

Can anyone here remember the day we had to wonder what would be open on Sunday?
    .
Excuse the question with a question, but I thought it was appropriate at the moment. :)

Not silly at all. Turns out a day of rest actually makes people MORE productive the rest of the week. It's good for families. It's good for churches. It's good for business morale, and it's good for our society.

And,you'll find that many (granted, not all) want to honor a day of Sabbath, meaning an entire day, not just a church service.

Silly reason to close Sundays... people can 'worship' before or after their workshifts, some folks 'worship' Saturdays, many don't 'worship' at all, while still others 'worship' daily. Don't try to tug at the strings of religion(s)... and don't EVER tug on Superman's cape! lol

Their owner is Christean. And in older days, Sunday (church days) were a day of rest. So they are never open on Sunday. I went to a mall lock in, and they closed exactly at 12 Sunday Morning
