  • Sure! There is a process you may have heard of called "Lucid Dreaming". It refers to the process of being aware when you are dreaming that you are in fact, in a dream. There are a number of techniques you can use: *) Try setting a watch to go off every hour. Throughout the day, when it goes off, ask yourself "Am I dreaming?".. Become aware of your surroundings. A good approach is to try to remember what you were doing 10 minutes ago. When you're awake, this is easy. When asleep, it's much more difficult. When your watch goes off while you are dreaming, it may be enough to realize "Hey, I'm dreaming" *) Possibly in combination with the above, try looking at your hands frequently. I know this sounds strange, but I guess for whatever reason, in a dream, hands don't look like they should, and is usually a pretty good give-away that you're dreaming. The method that worked best for me was simply to try to understand your dreams more. Everytime you wake up, try to record your dreams. The more you attempt to remember your dreams, the more frequently you will be able to remember them. This also leads to an increased awareness of whether you are dreaming or not. Finally, there are also products you can buy. Do a search for lucid dreaming mask.. They're masks that you can wear to bed and while you enter the REM stage, the masks flash a serious of small lights. Like the other methods, these lights are to make you aware in your dream that you are actually dreaming.
  • that does answer your question. once you realize you are dreaming you can make whatever you want happen.
  • The reason that there are so many lucid explanations to this questions is because once you know you are dreaming in your dream, then you HAVE CONTROL of your dream. You can do whatever you want to do after you come to this realization (in the dream). There have been a couple of times where I have realized in my dream I was dreaming. I usually decide to start flying around, but if you want to do something besides fly around, you can do whatever you want after you are lucid dreaming. You can even change your location/setting with your mind.
  • Yes, I have done it before, but I am exactly sure how. Every once in a while, I somehow figure out I'm dreaming. When this occures either three happen. 1#: Its a nightmare and i wake up. 2#:I don't do anything and the dream just continues like its supposed to. 3#: I'am able to control the dream and do anything I want. If you don't want to wake up every ten minutes, just think you want to control your dreams before you to sleep, and you'll be able to control your dreams every once and awhile.
  • yeah it has happened to me a countless number of times..usually on days where i wake up late so i take longer to sleep, but sometimes even when i wake up in the middle of my sleep and 1 hour later i go back to sleep i'll be able to control my dreams. most of the time it doesnt happen in a dream at all, i suddenly go into a mind state on my bed and then i know im dreaming, i wake up and leave the bed and do whatever i want and its all a dream! its beautiful, amazing, like the world belongs to you, you can do whatever you want! i found this site coz i googled it after i had one this morning..its been a while since i got them..wonder why i get them, when i tell my pals they think im crazy though..:).. some experience..when im in this state when i walk it feels very light more like im flying..i can fly if i want to..on some ocassions if i have more control i can even change the setting/environment..
  • I control my dreams all the time. All you have to do is go into a light sleep. Like nap everyonce in a while. Instead of being in a deep sleep you will know your surroundings at all times. In a light sleep you hear everysound you would as if you were awake. Reminding you that you are in another dimension. Of course when you do start to take control. You also wake up soon after. (usually within the next 10-15 seconds. Even though it seems forever in your head you dream one segement of it for 3 seconds then it switches tracks and goes to another.
  • If you drank lots of fluids before bed, you would be awakened, thus stopping your dreams, otherwise, no
  • IF YOU WANT TO CONTROL YOUR DREAMS FIRST YOU HAVE TO COLECT ENERGY.TRY TO SLEEP 8 HOURS,TO EAT HEALTHY AND TO AVOID PEOPLE WHO MAKE YOU ANGRY.YOU CAN DO THIS THING WITH YOUR HANDS.WHEN YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING THAT YOU DO EVERY DAY[PLAYING,READING ,EATING,TALKING]YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER DEEP IN YOUR MIND TO DO THIS THING-LOOK AT YOUR HANDS AND ASK YOUR SELF AM I DREAMING?IF YOU WANT SOMETHING MORE READ THE BOOKS[CARLOS CASTANEDA-THE TEACHINGS OF DON JUAN]THERE ARE A LOT OF THIS BOOKS THEY TEACH YOU HOW TO DO THINGS LIKE LUCID DREAM AND MORW.
  • Google "Lucid dreaming techniques" I've been a lucid dreamer since I was very young. It's fantastic!
  • I am in control of my dreams 99% of the time. But I don't know how I do it. It just happens. +5
  • I did it once, but I couldn't tell ya how...I got to fly around, talk to people, leap off buildings. It was very awesome. It was right in the morning, I had woken up and dozed back off, and that state of sleep apparantly put me in the right place to be consciously aware that I was actually IN a dream. So frickin cool.
  • You basically have NO control over your dreams ... Dreams are are reflection of you sub conscious mind . Of course, you will dream about things that are on your mind ... so if you are have problems with someone etc ..you could very well dream about that ... If you have had good times with someone or a group of people ... went to a place that made you happy ; those can appear in your dreams as well... Dreams usually reflect your life and thoughs ... Happy Dreams to you ...
  • I am a vivid dreamer. I have crushed many myths. I have made light switches work, I have hit the bottom when I have fallen, I can fly when I want but some times it doesn't always let me fly where I want. I have died( I was shot and it was the most peace I have ever felt). If you want to have freedom in your dreams you need to live you life without compromise to yourself.
  • Yes, you can definitely control some aspects of your dreams, but not everything. I don't know of any way to teach someone to do this. I just had a dream where I was walking somewhere way out in the countryside. When I realized I was tired of walking, and that I was dreaming, I speculated that I should be able to turn around and my car would be there. Sure enough, I turned around and my car was there. I got in and started driving home when I awoke. I have read this is called LUCID DREAMING. I know it may sound strange, but it definitely happened. Hope this helps. pallison11971 FROM www.pallison11971.com
  • Here is a technique I use. Have you ever noticed digital numbers do not stand still in dreams? Or that if you look at your watch the hour-hand goes around like a whirlwind? Here is the hardest part. You have to create a trigger for yourself that will make you realise you are dreaming. I made myself remember to take another look on my watch if I looked at it. The same for road signs and other things with numbers or words on it. Seeing the words were different on the signs the second time I looked at it made me remember I was in a dream. It is very tough to learn it this way. It doesnt work at all times. Sometimes you just do not see the link when dreaming.
  • there are books wich can explain the dreaming.if you are intersted :carlos castaneda - vadim zeland tow writers they can help you.
  • I think there only certain circumstances that you can and its mostly when you are on the verge of waking because that's when your brain begins to wake up.
  • Most dreams are the brain's (subconscious) way of "defragging" itself. We have to dream to do this. I don't know a formula for controlling dreams, but I do meditate a while before I go to bed. I try to draw up any problems I have and deal with them on a mental level before hitting the sack. I have reduced unpleasant dreams and "nightmares" a lot...and improved my sleep. It takes practice.
  • there is a way to control your dreams.
  • Just Google "how to lucid dream" and you'll find a wealth of information about it. Though lucid dreaming tends to be more focused on controlling your BEHAVIOR in a dream as opposed to controlling what you dream ABOUT...
