If I am Canadian and in the U.S. on an H1-B Visa, and I married an American, would I still be able to use that visa? If not, how long would it take me to be able to work in the U.S.?

  • Yes, you may as long as it is valid, but I suggest that upon marriage you and your wife file for an adjustment of status while the visa IS valid and get a conditional greencard.
