Hi,Do you hear clicking or like something wanting to turn on?If you do it could be an issue with the ballast its the board that powers the lamp.Do you hear buzzing, whirling or high pitch sounds? If you do it could be an issue with the color wheel (its the one in charge of creating the colors on your tv.If you don't hear any of that and since tv shut off most likely its just the lamp that needs replacement.Normally the lamp inside your tv last from 1- 1 1/2 yrs.
mine starting doing this exact same thing! were you able to ever get it to stop this? Ours is only 2 years old... but the same size!

I have a Broksonic regular tv and the remote doesn't work suddenly. I tried universal remotes and they don't wok either. Do i have to replace the remote device on the set or get another Broksonic remote

You're reading My 3 year old 31" RCA started switching on and off continuously. That's all it does unless the guide screen is on the picture, then you can't see the picture, but you can hear the sound. What can I do to stop this?
