Find the road on which the business has its address. Most maps include a road index that gives grid coordinates for streets. A street noted at grid D-3 would be in the grid where the D column intersects the 3 column. Many maps have periodic notes as to what building numbers to find at different points along a road. If yours does not, first find where the street directions change from north to south or east to west. In most cities, building numbers rise by 100 for every block away from that point. For example, 378 East Washington will usually be between three and four blocks from where West Washington becomes East Washington. Call the business and ask whoever answers the phone to name the nearest intersection. Use the method from Section 1 to find both streets. Trace them to where they meet.Find the Road
