Yes I meditate, mostly cross legged, straight backed as not to fall asleep from being too comfortable and in silence in a darkened room, preferably with a candle.

I used to do it 2 times a day. Now I do it once a day or less. I use music while I meditate, or sometimes a meditation tape. Dark quiet room, sitting in a comfortable chair. Not exactly orthodox or the pure way to do it, but then I am not a Zen Buddhist or David Carradine either. It still helps me.

I try to meditate when I feel stressed or anxious. Usually I envision a beach or a local swimming hole :)

my happy place is sitting in the front seat of my 1963 VW Beetle, smoking a cigarette, and drinking a cup of coffee black 3 lumps.

I meditate on fair occasion. I don't really need a happy place; I've done enough studying on meditation to be able to lower the frequencies of my brain waves when I feel like it.

Constantly, in and out of it anywhere!
-
My happy place is when i am totally locked into the coming and going of the breath. Everything just seems to flow perfectly.

I used to do Hatha Yoga. I had no "Happy place." Concentration on the breath and the body brings the mind into control. I believe that focus on an external "place" defeats the purpose.
